Customizing the global SCOR model to the Israeli landscape

Sep 10, 2007

Tefen in collaboration with Bar Ilan University, is conducting an academic research with the objectives of localizing the SCOR model in various sectors.

As part of academic research conducted at Bar Ilan University, the logistics department is currently doing research of leading Israeli companies across diverse sectors. The goal of the research is to customize the international SCOR model to the local business landscape. Tefen (a member of the Supply Chain Council) is supporting the students in their work by providing professional guidance in collecting information, approaching the Israeli companies, and drawing conclusions from the research. The collected information relates to different operational metrics (basic) in accordance with the SCOR model and enables the Israeli companies to obtain benchmarks of their performance correlative with the international "best in class", and with benchmarks in Israel.
The research is being conducted by Master's degree students as part of their seminar paper for the supply chain management course of Dr.Tal Avinadav.
