Lean Six Sigma
Six Sigma Training
Tefen's Six Sigma training is facilitated by a change agent with proven meeting management, presentation and communication skills. Our facilitators are experienced professionals with hands-on expertise to draw from and optimize the impact of each training session. We believe in interactive learning through simulating realistic exercises and will tailor a program to fit your company's specific needs. Tefen will provide you and those in your organization with the tools required for continuous improvement long after your engagement with Tefen is complete.
Six Sigma Tools
A quick and effective implementation depends on the ability to optimize and efficiently utilize the Six Sigma tools for change. Tefen's project managers and consultants will bring tools such as demand flow, layout focused factories, 5S/visual management, JIT techniques, kanban systems, value stream mapping, cost and profit analysis, demand amplification, variety funnels, response matrices, quality and filter maps, system and process maps, cost and lead time modeling and simulation. Our mastery of these tools makes us uniquely qualified to help ensure your company is a top competitor.
Lean Six Sigma
Six Sigma alone is not the answer. By combining both Lean and Six Sigma, Tefen strives to develop a highly effective and virtually error-free business environment. Six Sigma makes improvements by focusing on the system's quality outputs and reducing process variation within steps, while the Lean approach drives improvements by eliminating waste (Muda) between process steps. Tefen's consultants are trained to eliminate defects, waiting time, overproduction, excess inventory, unnecessary processing, and inefficient mobilization of personnel or goods. Combining your company's challenges with Lean, Six Sigma, and Tefen's expertise will result in optimized flow, valuable quality for customers, and increased profits.
Design for Six Sigma
To obtain the best results for your business you must use the best methods. Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) is a proven methodology that utilizes specific tools and techniques to design new products and processes. It is deployed through an approach referred to as DMADV - Define-Measure-Analyze-Design-Verify. This approach is similar to the DMAIC - Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control process used to improve a product but is specific to the challenges proposed by design. Tefen will determine the scope of the project, develop a project charter, identify CTQs, form teams, and outline a project plan which will drive successful development.
Six Sigma Project
Today's business is structured based on the principle of division of labor. Individual departments and managers often optimize their own area only to negatively affect those around them. Tefen's certified six sigma black belts will set up and manage process improvement teams and work groups across functional areas to optimize the solutions as well as benefits of each project. A clear and concise work breakdown structure will involve all resources and build buy-in at every level in order to achieve maximum results.
Six Sigma Consulting
Tefen's Six Sigma consulting is guided by the Lean Six Sigma definition. Our advanced "quality tool box" is based on tools such as Change Management, Voice of the Customer, Six Sigma, Corrective Action / Preventive Action, and Key Performance Indicators. These tools have been extremely effective in developing the building blocks of corporate quality policy and strategy.
Our consultants will critically seek the facts and figures, creatively develop new alternatives and strategies in an optimistic way, exercise caution to avoid mistakes, act professionally and clearly communicate as part of the team.
Six Sigma Methodologies
The Six Sigma methodology uses a highly controlled process known as DMAIC - Design-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control. This model for improvement uses a series of tools and techniques in a rigorous, focused and highly effective project to optimize a product or processes and return a virtually error free business environment. Tefen uses its expertise to determine the most profitable project focus and then defines tangible goals such as greater customer loyalty, a higher ROI, or an increased market share. We measure and analyze the existing system to identify the highest impact solutions and then improve the system through implementation of those resolutions. Finally, to control the new system we implement policies, procedures, incentives, and metrics to ensure sustainability.
Design of Experiments (DOE)
Business structure is complex and interactive: the only avenue to appropriately select proven solutions is to use the statistical methods employed by DOE. A good experiment does not "just happen"; it requires significant expertise and careful planning. Tefen will appropriately design effective experiments which will allow your company to measure the combined effects of multiple factors and truly uncover both root causes and solutions. Tefen will use a sequential approach to minimize the impact on the product. We will build a mathematical representation of your process in order to confirm projected improvements and optimize the process.
